Belford Christy Blaine, Jr.

  “Chris” is the son of Belford Christy Blaine and Mildred McKnight of Atlanta, Georgia.  Mr. Blaine was born in Durham, North Carolina on October 25, 1945.   His deceased father was a medical physician and an attorney.  Mildred was a schoolteacher and housewife. Chris has a deceased sibling, Lucille Plantikow and two living sisters, Carolyn Blaine and Helen Heyd, both residing within the Atlanta area.

 Chris married Sally Wynette Russell of Thomasville, Georgia, 1971.  Sally is the daughter of Henry Phillip Russell, Jr. and Myrtis Dekel Russell.  Mr. Russell, a retired dairyman, served in various Thomas County elected offices.  He served in the Georgia legislature as a State Representative and as a State Senator.  Mytis Russell was the secretary at the Thomas County Agricultural Market.

 The Blaines have three children: Audra Blaine Walters, Rebecca Blaine Jones, and Kirk McKnight Blaine
