A Creed for Youth

The greatest advantage in life, other than an excellent education, is a smile, a friendly greeting, and a nice word about a situation no matter how bad it may seem. The world is full of pessimists; don't be one. Keep pushing yourself; at all times to do your part.  Keep from criticizing the efforts of others whose efforts may be all that they can produce. Help them when you can.
Face responsibilities courageously and with a cheerful disposition.  When met with opposition from others, accept it and find a way to work through it to your mutual advantage.  They will be your friend. Don't hesitate to volunteer in those areas in which you excel.  When asked to do something not of your usual habit, let it be known that you might need help.
Use the words "Please" and "Thank You."
If confronted with a bad situation, face it directly even if the results appear to be unfavorable to you.  You will be admired more than punished.
Take your prayers seriously and you will be blessed with a charmed life.
